About Us

Greg Stahler / Owner

Greg Stahler founded SimAction in 2009 with the goal of improving clinical training for doctors and nurses in emergency situations.  Prior to this, Stahler co-invented and engineered the Sensei, a robotic cardiac catheter system at Hansen Medical.  Here, his expertise in the field of robotics and medicine created a revolutionary new product designed to operate on the inside of hearts in a minimally invasive approach.  Previously, Stahler co-invented and engineered the DaVinci, a robotic laparoscopic surgical system at Intuitive Surgical, a technological breakthrough advancing minimally invasive surgery to the 21st century.  Before joining Intuitive, Stahler graduated from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Stahler was also a 5 time mountain bike endurance race champion, and winner of the 2011 Parkfield Classic.  He also coached and competed in track and field and took the bronze medal at the 2011 World Masters Track and Field Championships in the pole vault.

Our Mission
There has been a trend over the last decade toward more realistic manikins and training situations which are referred to as high-fidelity simulated training.  The mission of SimAction is to create new and exciting products designed to enhance learning and education in the training environment.
